Job Summary
Data Engineering Lead at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) in London, leading the end-to-end data solutions for SwapClear and Listed Rates. Accountable for migrating from legacy Oracle/Informatica to a cloud-native Snowflake-based data platform, delivering robust reporting, self-service analytics, and scalable data distribution for members and clients. Leads a team of engineers, partners with Group Architecture and Group Data Governance, and drives architecture standards, data governance, and delivery of multi-year data platform transformation with a focus on availability, performance, resilience, and security. Enables collaboration with Product Owners and business partners, ensures software delivery quality through modern testing and cloud-native practices, and champions a data-driven, metrics-oriented culture.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- 5+ years as a technical lead
- Experience leading enterprise-scale Snowflake (or similar) data platform implementations
- ELT data architectures, using dbt or similar
- Cloud data lake and data warehouse solutions
- SQL, PL/SQL and Python proficiency
- Data warehouse modelling
- Immutable, incremental and versioned data architectures
- Data governance, lineage and control frameworks
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter or similar
- Quality-first approach
- Experience working with agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban
