Data Engineering Consultant

Data Engineering Consultant responsible for helping clients solve their most important data challenges by defining and implementing on premise or cloud architectures (e.g., cloud data warehouse, data lake, or data platform) to enable digital transformation. Responsibilities include building operational ETL/ELT data pipelines across multiple sources, constructing relational and dimensional data models, performing maturity assessments of clients’ data capabilities, and recommending improvements. You will build technology blueprints and advise on technology options, translate business requirements into solutions while ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategy, policies, and standards, and help define new data policies and standards. You will help clients identify risks and mitigations for complex data programs and transition to modern cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP) leveraging architecture patterns (APIs, events). You will work with clients on data governance areas such as Master Data Management, data lineage, and data security. The role requires passion for data, capability to design robust data pipelines and architectures, comfort with cloud technologies and big data platforms (Spark, Hive, Databricks), and proficiency in SQL and at least one modern language (e.g., Python). A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree in a technical discipline is helpful but not essential. This position involves both advisory and hands-on delivery in client engagements, with a focus on enabling decision-making with data and contributing to the growth of the team.
