Job Summary
Develop statistical and machine learning models for fraud identification, risk scorecards, portfolio construction, and pricing using structured financial data. Collaborate with data engineering and DevOps teams to capture data, build ML pipelines, and deploy models into production while ensuring throughput and response time for large-scale user traffic. Expedite the development lifecycle of models, managing training, testing, and monitoring across development, production, and scaling phases. Work with cross-functional stakeholders to gain domain expertise and obtain project buy-in for accurate, useful models.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in data science/risk management /quantitative modeling / financial models
- Hands on experience in at least one programming language like Python & one querying language
- Prior experience in code development using frameworks & technologies like Scikit, scipy etc.
- Prior experience in working with databases like mongoDB, Postgres, SQL etc
- Prior experience in working with cloud technologies, preferably AWS
- Strong understanding of ML model life cycle i.e. development, training, testing & monitoring
Desired Qualifications
- Domain knowledge on esp.financial data & risk, fraud & quant. models
- Prior experience in working with B2B data & building models for the same
- Prior experience in using classic ML models for credit risk quantification (for retail or institutional)
- Experience & willingness to handle cross team stakeholders to understand the domain & build accurate useful models
- Should be willing to identify project areas that are patentable & works towards it
