Job Summary
Define the context graph powering Torq's AI-SOC platform by working with stakeholders to validate data quality against real inputs. Run end-to-end proof-of-concept work connecting new data sources, ingesting and normalizing information, and correlating entities across systems. Build and own the transformation layer using dbt to model raw data into clean, normalized entities while profiling coverage and identifying gaps. Integrate identity, endpoint, and security data sources to create reliable, consistent models that enable smarter autonomous security decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused engineering role
- Fluent in SQL
- Fluent in Python
- Experience with relational data modeling
- Experience integrating data from external APIs
- Ability to investigate datasets, validate findings, and translate insights into scalable solutions
- Independent and proactive ownership to drive projects from raw data to production-ready solutions
- Excellent communication skills for working across cross-functional teams
- Experience working alongside AI agent systems and evaluating their outputs
- Experience building and maintaining dbt models and tests in production pipelines
- Experience modeling data using graph databases (Neo4j or similar)
Desired Qualifications
- Background in cybersecurity, including security operations, identity, and endpoint data
- Experience with modern data stack tooling, including orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, Dagster, or similar
