Job Summary
Own the dbt project by transforming raw data into staged, modeled, documented, and tested tables across staging, intermediate, and mart layers. Design and evolve data marts that encode real Telavox business logic, while operating CDC pipelines to monitor health, respond to failures, and manage BigQuery cost and performance. Build and maintain the semantic layer powering self-service analytics, partnering with analysts to turn questions into durable data products. This role focuses on modelling and data products rather than infrastructure, situated within Telavox's Data Platform Team at our Malmö HQ.
Required Qualifications
- A background in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar role with a strong data focus
- Advanced SQL
- Strong dbt fundamentals, including incremental models, snapshots, tests, and macros
- Solid BigQuery knowledge across partitioning, clustering, cost controls, and performance tuning
- Experience building dimensional models or equivalent analytical schemas
- Ability to translate business questions into durable data models
- Ability to push back when the question is wrong
- Working Python for tooling, scripts, and operational tasks
- Fluent English, written and spoken
