Job Summary
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate data from multiple sources to enable analytics, research, and machine learning initiatives. Design and model front-end and back-end data structures to support reporting and data-driven products. Integrate internal and external systems, APIs, and data sources to ensure reliable data flow. Collaborate with scientists, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical data solutions. Evaluate and implement scalable data storage solutions across relational, NoSQL, and cloud-based environments; optimize storage, retrieval, and processing performance. Implement data validation, monitoring, quality assurance, and security controls to maintain data integrity and compliance; monitor performance and drive continuous improvements. Maintain clear technical documentation and promote best-practice adoption within an agile, collaborative technology environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in data engineering, software development, or related technical role
- Applicants must have full working rights in Australia
- Role requires full-time, in-person work in office and laboratory environment; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available
