Job Summary
Lead as the primary informatics data engineer for Kymera's Research and Discovery teams, delivering data workflows, pipelines, and integrations across research platforms; manage scientific data from internal teams, CROs, and external collaborators; drive system implementations, upgrades, and vendor evaluations; create SOPs, technical docs, and training materials; collaborate with Biology and PSLD scientists to provide scalable informatics solutions in a fast-moving scientific environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Data Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related STEM field
- Data Engineer: 5+ years | Senior Data Engineer: 8+ years of relevant industry experience
- Hands-on experience with research platforms such as CDD Vault, D360, Spotfire, and/or Benchling
- Strong Python, R and SQL development skills with a track record of building production-grade scientific tools and automations
- Strong experience with scientific data engineering, ETL workflows, APIs, and system integrations across diverse research data types including invitro assay, PK/PD, proteomics, and structural biology datasets
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with urgency, stay organized under pressure, and adapt quickly as needs evolve
- Proven ability to partner effectively with scientists, vendors, and CROs in a research setting
