Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based solutions using Snowflake, AWS, dbt, and Dagster. Optimize platform performance, improve data quality and reliability, and automate existing data processes. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality data solutions while supporting governance best practices and monitoring cloud costs. This role requires a VGCCC Gaming Licence and/or OLGR Licence. Work within a modern cloud technology stack to influence data architecture and establish engineering best practices across the business.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or a related discipline
- Experience building modern cloud-based data pipelines, ideally within AWS
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt and Dagster (or similar modern data technologies)
- Strong Python programming skills
- Experience with Git, CI/CD and release management practices
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain a VGCCC Gaming Licence and/or OLGR Licence
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or a related discipline (preferred)
- Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Tableau is highly regarded
- Experience using GenAI coding assistants to improve productivity, documentation and code quality
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly and in accordance with company policies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
