Job Summary
Data Engineer responsible for designing robust, componentized data pipelines and scalable data platforms to support OneOncology’s analytics and BI initiatives. You will work with SQL and Python to build and maintain cloud-based data solutions, leverage Databricks, Spark, and Delta tables, and contribute to lakehouse/medallion architectures. The role requires strong collaboration with IT and development teams, ability to translate requirements into discrete tasks, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimizing data processes. Role expects 5+ years of hands-on data experience, cloud infrastructure expertise (Azure preferred), and capability to deliver reliable, scalable data pipelines in an agile environment. This position can be based in Austin, TX, or Nashville, TN, or fully remote within the United States.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience using SQL
- 3+ years of experience using Python
- 5+ years of experience using Databases or Data tools with a good understanding of Data Modeling
- Experience with Databricks, Spark, and Delta tables preferred
- Experience with lakehouse and medallion architectures preferred
- Experience with Data Integration/ETL processes and tools such as Azure Data Factory
- Significant years of hands-on experience delivering solutions running in cloud infrastructure – preferably Azure
- Strong experience with SQL
- Good understanding of OOD
- Strong experience with building robust data pipelines
- Experience with instrumentation, logging and alerting methods and best practices
- Proactive approach to problem solving and strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Attendance is an essential job function
