Job Summary
As a Data Engineer at Monks, you will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and cloud infrastructure, contributing to AI-driven marketing innovations. Key responsibilities include developing data pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), automating ETL processes, and collaborating with data science teams on ML models. Ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of data cleansing, data modeling, and APIs, along with proficiency in Python and SQL. A minimum of 1 year of experience in data science or engineering is required, along with a relevant degree and cloud certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Masters in a quantitative subject such as Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 1+ years of working experience in data science or data engineering or a related field.
- Associate Cloud Certification such as GCP Cloud Architect, Data Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer or any equivalent.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Expertise in authenticating and authorising API requests using methods such as OAuth and API keys and troubleshooting common API-related challenges.
- Solid understanding of data structures and databases.
- Good understanding of data modeling concepts and tools such as dbt or Dataform.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts and experience with tools like Amazon Redshift or Google BigQuery.
- Familiarity with data privacy principles and best practices.
- Fluent English communication and written skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Data Science.
- Professional Cloud Certification.
- Experience with CI/CD and version control tools.
- Familiarity with marketing analytics tools and data (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Familiarity with social data (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
- Experience with machine learning and Gen-AI models.
