Job Summary
Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain resilient data pipelines using Python for government cybersecurity data workflows, ensuring secure, available, and actionable data delivery from ingestion to analytics. Responsibilities include development and support of ETL processes, data transformation and quality controls, integration of data from REST APIs and various file formats, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver data products and analytics environments. The role requires production support, debugging, root cause analysis, and ensuring data integrity and security across development and production environments. Must meet TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and possess experience with Python, data pipelines, Git, JSON/XML/CSV, Bash/Linux, and AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3); familiarity with Elasticsearch/Kibana, cyber operations concepts, and data analytics tools is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and 5+ years’ experience with software development in Python
- Experience with data engineering
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, and ingestion workflows
- Experience with Git/GitHub or similar version control systems
- Experience with common data formats such as JSON, XML, CSV, and other structured or semi-structured data
- Experience working with Bash, Linux, and command-line tools in a development or production environment
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar technical field
- Experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, and S3
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools
- Knowledge of cyber operations
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
- Clearance Requirements: An active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
