Job Summary
Join Maker&Son as a Data Engineer, where your core responsibility will be to maintain and scale our analytics infrastructure to support rapid data growth. You'll build the next generation of our data ingestion pipeline and warehouse, run ad hoc data analyses, and optimize existing ETL pipelines. The role requires 3+ years of data engineering experience, proficiency in programming languages like NodeJS and Python, and strong skills in SQL and ETL tools. You'll collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, driving initiatives that impact the entire company.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience as a data engineer
- Ability to own data problems and help shape solutions for business challenges
- Good communication and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency with a programming language (NodeJS, Python, Golang)
- Ability to write and optimise complex SQL statements
- Familiarity with ETL pipeline tools (Airflow, AWS Glue)
- Familiarity with data visualisation and reporting tools (Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker)
- Experience with cloud-based software development environment (AWS or GCP)
- Familiarity with no-SQL databases (ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, MongoDB)
