Job Summary
Data Engineer to build both batch (ELT) and real-time data pipelines and architecture using SQL and AWS big data technologies. Role involves assembling large, complex data sets to meet business requirements, automating manual processes, redesigning infrastructure for scalability, and delivering insights that impact customer acquisition and operational metrics in the sports-betting domain. Collaboration with data architects, executives, product, data, and IT teams from project inception through delivery. Skills include ELT tooling (DBT, Airflow), cloud data services (AWS), large-scale DWH (Redshift/Snowflake), data governance, and big data tech (Kafka, Spark, Python, NIFI).
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of work experience
- Cloud data services such as AWS S3, Athena, EC2, EMR, AWS Batch and Lambda
- Large-scale production databases and SQL with Redshift or Snowflake
- ELT development using DBT and Airflow
- Governance and data quality concepts/tools
- Experience with big data technologies (NIFI, Kafka, Python, Spark, Hudi)
- Docker/Kubernetes familiarity
- Strong analytics and ability to innovate
- Fast learner in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset and clear communication skills
