Job Summary
Design and develop new applications and systems to meet Data and Analytics business requirements while analyzing data to enhance understanding of the environment. Participate in solution design documentation for existing and new products, adhering to IT systems development processes and Agile life cycles. Manage ETL processes, dimensional modelling, and data warehousing using SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS within an AWS cloud environment. Leverage Python and open-source tools to support data management lifecycle initiatives and visualization via PowerBI or AWS QuickSight. Contribute to governance standards and QA best practices throughout the full development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Detailed knowledge of IT systems development processes (SDLC)
- Detailed knowledge of Application development
- Detailed knowledge of ETL processes
- Detailed knowledge of Rational database system and cloud data warehousing
- Detailed knowledge of Dimensional modelling
- Detailed knowledge of Standards and governance
- Detailed knowledge of Agile development life cycle
- Detailed knowledge of Testing practices
- Knowledge of Data analysis and design
- Knowledge of Data architecture (technical design and implementation processes)
- Knowledge of Banking systems environment
- Knowledge of Banking business model
- Knowledge of Best practices for Quality Assurance (QA)
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Data Analysis
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology - Computer Science or Data Analysis
- At least 6 years proven experience within management information systems / systems analysis together with a relevant 3 year tertiary qualification
- At least 6 - 8 years proven experience within management information systems / system analysis
- Proven experience in SQL Server and / or business intelligence tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
- Proven experience in Data Warehousing
- Proven experience in Data Management Lifecycle
- Proven experience in Python and/or Open Source development tools
- Proven experience in Visualisation Technologies: MS PowerBI, AWS QuickSight
- Proven experience in Cloud Environment
- Proven experience in Experience working in an AWS environment as well as with AWS Technologies
