Job Summary
Data Engineer II role focusing on building and optimizing scalable data pipelines and workflows to support reporting, analytics, and operational needs in a healthcare-focused environment. Responsibilities include data integration, transformation, and cleansing; improving data accessibility and quality; collaborating with senior engineers on platform strategy; providing guidance and mentoring to junior engineers; documenting data engineering processes; ensuring healthcare data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance; and delivering data products and reports to internal and external partners. Required skills include Python, T-SQL, SSMS, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, data warehousing, data governance, and strong communication with stakeholders. The position is remote-first with a Baltimore, MD location reference and a focus on building scalable data solutions for Trend Health Partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or related technical discipline
- Strong experience with Python, T-SQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Databricks, and Azure Data Factory
- Experience designing and maintaining data integration, transformation, and data warehousing solutions
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and finished products
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and security best practices
- Experience working in fast-paced environments supporting multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
