Job Summary
Build, maintain, and improve the enterprise data warehouse, pipelines, and ETL/ELT infrastructure from diverse data sources. Monitor and optimize database performance, implement patches, and manage parameters to ensure fast query responses while minimizing downtime. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to develop data models, establish metadata management processes, and enforce data quality standards for accuracy and reliability. Assist with disaster recovery planning and complete required regulatory compliance training. Work scheduled hours in a typical technology office or remote environment.
Required Qualifications
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree - Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Technology or another quantitative field
- 2 Years - Responsible experience in a data engineering, database administration, or data science role
- Experience with the administration and use of relational databases (e.g. Postgres, Oracle, SQLServer)
- Experience with administration and use of data warehouses (e.g. Redshift, Snowflake, Incorta)
- Experience with core programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, C#) and with Linux/Unix commands, scripting (bash) and file management
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g. SSIS)
- Experience with profiling data, with and without data definition documentation
- Experience with data modeling, especially dimensional modeling
- Learn and apply information, on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements, in order to assess member situations and develop solutions
- Strong analytical aptitude with a driving curiosity to identify, formulate, and solve problems
- Set priorities and manage one's own time effectively
- Intermittent lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds
