Job Summary
Data Engineer at Wizards of the Coast (Hasbro) to join the Enterprise Data & Engineering team. Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows across cloud platforms (Azure and AWS); write and tune complex SQL queries to support analytics, reporting, and data modeling; collaborate with data scientists, analytics engineers, and business partners; participate in design and implementation of data engineering infrastructure; support data quality, governance, and data lineage; contribute to code reviews, testing, and documentation; assist in integrating AI/machine learning solutions into data workflows; develop familiarity with metadata management and data governance practices; 1–3 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/IS or related field. Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, software engineering, or related field (or equivalent demonstrated skills through internships, academic projects, or self-directed work)
- Solid foundation in SQL; experience writing queries to extract, transform, and analyze data
- Exposure to at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and batch processing
- Awareness of or interest in tools like DBT, Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake, or Kafka
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with equivalent experience accepted
