Job Summary
Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms for enterprise-scale projects across fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence; collaborate with analysts, developers, and data consumers; experience with PySpark, Spark SQL, Foundry Ontology, Palantir Foundry, and Palantir Foundry Data Pipeline Builder; build and operationalize ETL/ELT workflows and data transformations; read logs and troubleshoot issues; requires a Bachelor's degree and a Secret clearance; compensation range provided; remote/hybrid work model with Booz Allen.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in application development and maintaining complex data applications at enterprise scale
- 3+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing and processing structured and unstructured data, and building scalable ETL/ELT workflows
- Experience with PySpark and Spark SQL
- Experience with Foundry Ontology and Palantir Foundry tools
- Ability to read logs, diagnose errors, and troubleshoot issues in Palantir Foundry
- Ability to develop scripts for converting data into usable formats
- Experience with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
- Experience with UNIX/Linux and Shell scripting
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with distributed data tools like Spark, Hadoop, Kafka
- Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra)
- Experience with data warehousing (Redshift, Snowflake)
- Experience with Agile engineering practices
- Secret clearance
