Job Summary
Data Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and backend services. Build and optimize SQL Server databases and database objects; develop Python-based automation tools and APIs; work with relational and NoSQL databases to support application and reporting needs. Collaborate with engineering teams on data integrations and system performance; troubleshoot data quality, performance, and scalability issues; participate in code reviews and promote best engineering practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering production data engineering solutions
- Strong hands-on Python experience for data pipelines, automation, and backend processing
- Strong experience with MS SQL Server, including query optimization, stored procedures, and schema design
- Experience with MongoDB and NoSQL database design
- Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and REST APIs
- Familiarity with Azure data technologies such as Azure Data Factory or Microsoft Fabric is preferred
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
