Job Summary
Develop, deploy and continuously improve cloud-based data pipelines spanning the entire product lifecycle of our high-power CO2 laser systems for EUV lithography. Collaborate with R&D, production and service to co-create data-driven solutions such as condition monitoring and predictive maintenance applications. Transform analytical algorithms into scalable cloud applications handling large volumes of machine and signal data transmitted from laser systems worldwide, in close cooperation with data analysts, EUV domain specialists, data architects, internal IT, customers and suppliers. The role combines hands-on data engineering with cross-functional collaboration in an international team; requires Python/SQL/PySpark, CI/CD and Git workflows; business-fluent English and German (B2); ideally Azure data engineering stack experience. The position is limited to 2 years, and flexible working hours with the option to work remotely are offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science or a comparable qualification, or equivalent practical experience
- Solid programming skills in Python, SQL and PySpark
- Strong software engineering skills including CI/CD and Git workflows
- Business-fluent English and at least B2-level German; higher proficiency in German is an advantage
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Azure data engineering technologies (Apache Spark, Databricks, Synapse, Terraform)
- Excellent collaboration skills in cross-functional international teams
- German language proficiency at least B2 (advantage if higher)
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms and CI/CD pipelines
