Job Summary
Data Engineer, Data & Analytics responsibilities include building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL pipelines; transforming structured and unstructured data into analytics-ready models; designing data models for marketing attribution and customer analytics; collaborating across analytics, marketing, and product teams; implementing data quality tests and CI/CD; and delivering dashboards in Looker and Amplitude while ensuring data governance and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related roles supporting marketing or product analytics
- Expert-level SQL skills with complex transformations and business logic
- Strong understanding of event-based data structures and modeling user-level metrics from raw telemetry or clickstream data
- Proficiency with modern ELT tools and frameworks (dbt) including modular, tested transformations
- Experience configuring and optimizing large-scale cloud data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery)
- Hands-on experience with customer behavior event tracking and marketing attribution
- Familiarity with reverse ETL patterns, marketing activation, and identity resolution workflows
- Strong data governance mindset with naming conventions, semantics, and data lifecycle management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Driven by curiosity and data-driven decision making
- Sedentary role with potential light physical activities
