Job Summary
Design cloud architectures on GCP, AWS, and Azure while managing infrastructure as code, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines for data science workloads. Develop Python server-side tools, ETL scripts in Big Data environments, and ML-specific infrastructures tailored to client projects and internal Sia AI solutions. Implement security protocols including certificate management, OAuth2 authentication, and credential protection across applications. This role requires a Master's degree in quantitative fields and 1-3 years of experience in Data, DevOps, or Software Engineering. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one cloud platform is essential, with strong English and Dutch language skills. Non-Dutch speakers are not accepted, and no work permit is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree with a strong quantitative component (e.g. Econometrics, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance)
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in Data, DevOps, Cloud or Software Engineering
- Good level in Python
- Solid foundation in other languages
- Familiarity with at least one SQL DBMS (ideally PostgreSQL)
- Ideally noSQL (ideally MongoDB)
- Excellent English and Dutch verbal and written skills
- Ability to work in a DevOps culture, taking responsibility for the code lifecycle, from development to deployment and maintenance of applications
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools (ideally Terraform)
- Sensitivity to security issues and experience in implementing application protection solutions (certificate management, HTTPS security, OAuth2 authentication, credential management)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience mixing different services within the same project
- Strong appetite to learn more about cloud services platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Strong appetite for gaining competence in Kubernetes if you do not yet have experience with this solution
- Mastery of the Gitlab-CE ecosystem
- Strong interest in data and AI-related topics
- Ability to quickly build expertise in data and AI areas
- Excitement about helping clients seize opportunities
- Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
