Job Summary
Data Engineer at Cisco IT Data team responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data processing platforms supporting Corporate Functional Data IT. You will collaborate with Senior data engineers to ensure delivery of quality code with unit tests, maintain and optimize multiple data pipelines, integrate advanced technology for faster insights, and contribute to automation framework development. Key duties include building data integration solutions for data availability, delivering on-time projects, participating in the full software lifecycle (development, testing, deployment) across on-premises or cloud environments, innovating to improve efficiency and performance, building and optimizing big data pipelines, ensuring data quality and compliance, cleansing and scrubbing data, supporting data analytics and modeling, and applying analytics techniques to validate and transform data. Preferred familiarity with real-time data/stream processing, data visualization, data governance/security/compliance practices, exposure to AI/ML frameworks, and agile/SAFe practices. Ideal candidates will have strong scripting (Unix shell, Python, SQL), experience with Snowflake, ETL tooling (Informatica, DBT), Kafka, and cloud data platforms; great collaboration and communication skills; and a passion for scalable data infrastructure and insights.
Required Qualifications
