Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, process, and transform large volumes of data. Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and database designs to support efficient retrieval and analysis. Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust validation and monitoring mechanisms while optimizing data processes and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide timely support to stakeholders. Stay updated with emerging technologies to recommend improvements to the infrastructure. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of experience, and proficiency in Python, GCP, Apache Airflow, dbt, and SQL. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
- Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation and automation
- Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including BQ and GCS
- Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and task scheduling
- In-depth knowledge of dbt for data transformation and modelling
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases
- Solid understanding of Kafka or other streaming platforms for real-time data processing
- Strong expertise in data warehousing concepts and best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
