Job Summary
Build data pipelines, processors, and services in Python, C#, and .NET to receive signals from APIs, Kafka, and existing datasets. Transform sensor, alarm, and activity data into reliable, structured datasets stored in PostgreSQL for downstream use in products like RoomMate and Sensio Insight. Collaborate with product managers and ML engineers to define data structures and improve platform reliability and scalability. This role sits within Sensio's data platform team in Oslo, supporting the development of our multisensor AI solution used globally in elderly care.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with data engineering, backend development or data-heavy platform services
- Strong C# and .NET skills
- Experience with PostgreSQL and working with large data volumes
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data structures and dataset design
- Experience with data integrations, APIs, Kafka or other event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with common data and machine learning tools such as Spark, MLflow and PyTorch
- This role will be placed at Sensio's office in Oslo
Desired Qualifications
- Bonus points if you have experience with one or more of the following: FastAPI, dbt, Alembic or similar tools for building and maintaining data services
- Bonus points if you have experience with one or more of the following: Multi-modal data, sensor data, image data, telemetry or data from edge devices
- Bonus points if you have experience with one or more of the following: Kubernetes or cloud-based platform environments
- Bonus points if you have experience with one or more of the following: Sensor data, IoT or real-time systems
- Bonus points if you have experience with one or more of the following: Products where reliability, privacy, safety or regulatory considerations matter
