Job Summary
Data Engineer for Bitwave building data warehouse, ETL pipelines, and reporting capabilities using Google BigQuery and GCP, Databricks, and other ETL tools. Architect, design, and build pipelines to move large volumes of data from sources such as Postgres databases and REST APIs; improve data warehouse architecture for robust internal and user-facing reporting; handle large data volumes and complex integrations; develop reusable code and libraries; Firestore, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, Python proficiency; experience in JS/SQL/Python, ETL, web services, agile SCRUM, CI/CD, and cloud environment; Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field; interest in digital assets and DeFi; commitment to software quality and testing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience programming primarily in JavaScript, SQL, Python
- Experience in Web3 or dapps is a plus
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks including jQuery
- Expertise in ETL tools for data extraction, storage and transformation
- Experience writing and consuming web services
- Strong experience in Agile environments with SCRUM, CI/CD, and GCP
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in digital assets, decentralized finance, and cryptocurrencies
- Be passionate about software quality and writing tests
