Job Summary
Lead the migration to Microsoft Fabric. Rebuild pipelines/workflows/workspaces from Azure using Fabric best practices; design and scale data ingestion and transformations; maintain data trust with QA/monitoring; operate within a medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold); ensure engineering quality and clear documentation; connect data to end users, considering storage and lifecycle; remote-first role based in Chile with collaboration across UK and Chile; requires strong PySpark, Python, SQL, Azure, Databricks, and Power BI skills; English communication essential.
Required Qualifications
- Experience of Microsoft Fabric in production. You’ve created workloads using OneLake, Lakehouse, Pipelines/Dataflows Gen2, PySpark Notebooks, Semantic Models.
- Familiarity with Warehouse, Eventstream, Shortcuts, Mirroring.
- Deep experience of the Azure data stack. Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Key Vault, and the services around them.
- Experience as an owner of a data platform migration.
- Strong experience with PySpark and solid Python engineering skills.
- Advanced SQL. Ability to infer business logic from existing SQL views, write ad-hoc queries, and create new SQL views for data warehouse access.
- Disciplined approach to team procedures within Azure DevOps. Kanban, wiki, Git, and branch management.
- Power BI literacy. Trace issues from a Power BI report to its origin.
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Independent work style: diagnose, decide, and fix without waiting for direction.
- Experience using modern development tools, including AI-assisted tooling to improve productivity, debugging, and code efficiency.
