Job Summary
Data Engineer responsible for designing scalable data pipelines, optimizing Spark workloads, and delivering cost-efficient, production-ready cloud solutions across multiple providers. Collaborate with Syntasa to support IC data modernization efforts; expected to write robust Python and Spark code, manage Spark jobs on cloud platforms with Kubernetes, and drive reliability and performance in cloud infrastructure. Role is hybrid (on-site at Syntasa/customer site and telework) with assignments in Herndon, VA; St. Louis, MO; or Aurora, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least five years’ relevant experience
- Strong Python experience
- Experience with automation of job monitoring, optimization, and debugging at scale
- Experience working with any of the major cloud providers
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams
