Data Enabler
Remote
Job Summary
Define and maintain data architecture guidelines covering ingestion, transformation, storage, consumption, and governance patterns for a major banking data modernization project. Provide independent judgment in design reviews and architecture decisions across the client's ecosystem while managing technical debt and upholding standards for testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines. Act as the trusted technical liaison to translate business needs into technical solutions and executive-level language, identifying opportunities to evolve services into technical-commercial proposals. Requires 7+ years of experience as a PM or Functional Analyst in regulated environments, strong requirements-gathering skills, and familiarity with the dbt and modern data stack.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a PM / Functional Analyst on data or technology projects, ideally in banking, financial, or other highly regulated environments
- Working knowledge of dbt and modern data architecture concepts (ingestion, transformation, storage, consumption) β enough to read designs critically and ask the right questions, not necessarily to build them
- Strong requirements-gathering and documentation skills: able to translate ambiguous business asks into clear functional specs for engineering teams
- Experience facilitating design reviews and architecture discussions, bringing structure and independent judgment even without writing the code
- Familiarity with data governance, testing, and CI/CD practices from a functional/oversight standpoint
- Excellent stakeholder management: comfortable moving between engineering conversations and executive updates
- Ability to spot opportunities for service growth and turn them into technical-commercial proposals
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to modern data stack tools (Snowflake, BigQuery, Airflow, Fivetran, etc.) as a user/analyst, not necessarily as a builder
- PM certifications (PMP, Scrum, SAFe) or Business/Functional Analysis certifications (CBAP, IIBA)
