Job Summary
Lead a data development team within RBC's Global Credit and Loans Technology data team, responsible for leading the SDLC, requirements gathering, data development, testing, change management and knowledge transfer to support teams. Collaborates with the Data Architect to create robust, reusable data models and provides technical influence by mentoring a team of data developers and analysts. Lead and troubleshoot incidents in production (L4 Support) and work with Scrum Masters and Product Owners in an agile delivery environment. Evolve development standards, SDLC practices, and management of technical debt. Proficiency in profiling data in RDBMSs (SQL, Stored Procedures), relational data modeling, and ETL with IBM InfoSphere DataStage; familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, DevOps, and Git. Nice-to-have: Capital Markets background, data lakes (Hadoop), NoSQL (MongoDB), and experience with React, .NET Core, IIS, Windows Servers, Liquibase, Docker, Python, and data interfaces like FpML and CDM. The role is based in Toronto, Canada and Calgary, Canada with full-time salaried employment and a comprehensive total rewards program.
Required Qualifications
- Must have: Experience profiling data within an RDBMS (Sybase, MS SQL, DB2, Oracle) and programming experience in SQL and performance tuning
- Experience in ETL using IBM InfoSphere DataStage
- Understanding of Linux based systems, shell scripting, devops, and source code management (Git)
