Job Summary
Conduct CCP monitoring checks and assist in the salvaging process for the salvage line and whole bird line. Perform and record temperature and fecal checks on salvage parts, including IP, washout, and airsac salvage vats. Identify deficiencies in IP, airsac, gall, and washout processes to ensure compliance with USDA NELS guidelines. Present presentation checks for the evisceration department as required. Assist in salvaging birds on the salvage line as directed by the supervisor. Lift seventy-pound tubs and perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor. Complete Tyson paperwork with accurate and legible entries while communicating work-related information with supervisors and the QA team.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift seventy-pound tubs
- Must be able to complete Tyson paperwork with accurate and legible entries
- Must be able to read materials, documents, and records related to production and quality
- Must be able to perform simple math calculations using a calculator
- Must be able to communicate work-related information with supervisors and other team members
- Must be able to identify IP, airsac, gall, and washout deficiencies
- Must be able to perform presentation checks for the evisceration department as required in the USDA NELS guidelines
- Must be able to assist in salvaging birds on the salvage line as directed by the supervisor
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must provide government identification number
- Must not have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be available for 2ND SHIFT
