Data Centre Design Manager (Building Services)

Job Summary
Lead multidisciplinary design management for complex data centre programs, ensuring alignment of stakeholders around clear technical outcomes and driving continuous improvement in the design and delivery of mission critical facilities. Responsibilities include coordinating MEP disciplines and architects, overseeing design forums, managing project execution plans, defining design guidelines, and ensuring consistency across all outputs. The role requires strong communication skills, stakeholder engagement, and a solid understanding of Australian Codes and Standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services or related) or equivalent
- Proven experience in an engineering consultancy delivering large, complex building services projects, ideally mission critical or data centres
- Proven design management experience
- Stakeholder engagement skills that build trust across clients, contractors, authorities and vendors
- Working knowledge of Australian Codes and Standards, for example NCC and AS/NZS
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to BIM coordination tools such as Revit and Navisworks
