Job Summary
Data Center Technician at CoreWeave in Weehawken, NJ responsible for maintaining the availability, reliability, and performance of data center environments. Hands-on role focused on hardware and network diagnostics, repairs, root cause analysis of failures, and support of mission-critical infrastructure. On-site at a data center with potential on-call rotation and up to 10% travel to other locations. Responsibilities include assembling/installing equipment, developing documentation, providing technical support to data center teams, developing scripts to update server and networking hardware, maintaining inventory, and performing maintenance of test and tool equipment. Qualifications include experience with computer hardware troubleshooting, Linux, scripting (Python, Bash), Cisco IOS/Juniper JunOS, and an associate degree or equivalent IT-related experience. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in a 24/7 environment, and travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and assembly
- Experience working with Linux operating systems
- Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages
- Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
- Experience in data center environments
- Ability to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing diagnostic and repair tasks
- Ability to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces, including under-floor areas or on ladders, to access server racks
- Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, including handling small hardware components and cables
- Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment, including participation in a rotating on-call shift
