Job Summary
Hands-on role to maintain data center availability and reliability through hardware and network diagnostics, repairs, and on-site support. Responsibilities include diagnosing hardware and software failures, performing root cause analysis, training internal teams, developing documentation, updating server and networking hardware via scripts, maintaining inventory, assembling/installing equipment, and supporting after-hours needs with on-call rotations. Travel up to 10% to other data center locations may be required; candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in constrained spaces, and operate in a 24/7 environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and assembly
- Experience working with Linux operating systems
- Experience with computer networking
- Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages
- Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
- Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment, including participation in a rotating on-call shift
