Job Summary
Monitor, maintain, and optimize critical data center systems including power distribution units, UPS, cooling infrastructure, and fire suppression to ensure continuous mining operations. Carry out basic miner repairs, flash firmware, and perform regular inspections, cleaning, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. Quickly identify and troubleshoot infrastructure or miner issues, coordinating with teams to restore service with minimal disruption. Support detailed performance reporting on uptime, power usage, and environmental conditions. This role requires physical stamina for standing 7+ hours daily and lifting up to 50 lbs in a high-pressure onsite environment in Amarillo, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of data center infrastructure, including electrical systems, cooling systems, and network architecture, specifically within the context of Bitcoin mining operations.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues related to power, cooling, and network systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to react quickly to critical incidents.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and team collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety standards, energy efficiency practices, and compliance regulations in data center operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3+ years of experience in IT/computer hardware, systems/electrical engineering, network administration, and/or troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Physical stamina: the ability to stand for 7+ hours per day.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Tolerance for harsh environmental conditions, including both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Must pass a motor vehicle check.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the designated work site.
- Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and environments.

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of data center best practices, standards, and maintenance procedures is preferred but not required.
- Bitcoin mining experience is a plus.
- A basic understanding of IP addressing, subnets, and small electronics or medium to low-voltage electrical systems is a plus.
