Job Summary
Install and configure data center hardware, perform server and network upgrades, and run fiber and copper cabling to support growing infrastructure. Maintain cable documentation and standards, configure servers and Layer 2 networking, troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues, and assist with inventory/asset tracking. Participate in data center expansion builds and follow security protocols and best practices; bonus points for experience with routing systems (Cisco, Linux, Arista) and scripting (Bash, Python, GoLang). Must have 4+ years in production data centers, be comfortable with a CLI, and be able to work on-site in Reno, NV.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years experience supporting Production Data Centers
- Comfortable using a command line interface
- Hands-on experience installing fiber optic cabling
- Basic understanding of power cabling and PDUs
- Familiarity with Linux and other network operating systems
- Familiar with server, storage, network technologies
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb
- Ability to work on-site in Reno, NV
