Job Summary

The Data Center Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers and network equipment in regional data centers. This hands-on role ensures high availability and reliable performance of critical systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a data center, server room, or similar IT infrastructure environment
  • Solid understanding of server hardware, basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and OS fundamentals (Windows or Linux)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends/holidays, and participate in on-call rotation; occasional travel between sites

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Dell/HP/Cisco servers
  • Experience with SAN/NAS storage
  • Familiarity with ticketing and monitoring tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA, Nagios, SolarWinds)
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+/Server+ or CCNA
