Job Summary
Conduct remote hands and smart hands support including cabling, power cycling, and hardware swaps. Install and decommission server racks while managing cross-connects and patch panels. Perform hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, visual inspections, and inventory audits. Coordinate escort and access for client visits and maintain emergency response readiness. Work on-site in Schiphol-Rijk with flexible availability for weekends and holidays. Must have hands-on experience with data center infrastructure, server hardware, and networking standards.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure
- Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards
- Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centers
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to lift 25kg+ equipment
- Flexible availability including weekends/holidays for urgent requests
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, CCNA
- Experience at major DC providers (Equinix, Digital Realty, NTT, CyrusOne)
- Structured cabling expertise (fiber, Cat6, DAC)
- Data center or IT infrastructure experience
- Server hardware and networking knowledge
- Reliable and professional with strong communication
- Proximity to local data center facilities
- Flexible schedule for on-call/emergency work
