Job Summary
Conduct remote hands and smart hands support including cabling, power cycling, and hardware swaps. Perform server rack installation, decommissioning, cross-connect management, and visual inspections for inventory audits. Execute hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics while escorting clients and coordinating access. Maintain emergency response readiness with on-call availability for urgent requests. This role requires reliable transportation, proximity to Schiphol-Rijk data centers, and the ability to lift 25kg+ equipment. Flexible availability includes weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure
- Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards
- Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centers
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to lift 25kg+ equipment
- Flexible availability including weekends/holidays for urgent requests
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, CCNA
- Experience at major DC providers (Equinix, Digital Realty, NTT, CyrusOne)
- Structured cabling expertise (fiber, Cat6, DAC)
- Data center or IT infrastructure experience
- Server hardware and networking knowledge
- Reliable and professional with strong communication
- Proximity to local data center facilities
- Flexible schedule for on-call/emergency work
