Job Summary
Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, perform diagnostics, execute physical repairs, and manage fiber optic connectivity within the Kansas City data center. Install, upgrade, and dismantle hardware based on operational requests while maintaining regular IT tasks to ensure continuous infrastructure support. Process Return Merchandise Authorizations in compliance with established procedures and develop comprehensive documentation for hardware configuration and troubleshooting. Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external contractors to address technical challenges, lead specific workflows, and monitor project progress. This shift-based role involves occasional travel between locations. Base compensation ranges from $30 to $45 USD.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving server hardware issues
- A solid understanding of data center operations, as well as server and network equipment principles
- Basic proficiency in the Linux operating system and familiarity with command-line tools
- Practical experience working with server IT hardware, enterprise-grade network switches and fiber optic cables
- Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables, formulas, lists and graph creation
- A proactive, responsible and goal-oriented approach to work
- Valid Driving License
- Project planning skills
