Job Summary
Data Center Technician responsible for installation, testing, and documentation of low voltage cabling projects at project sites. Performs installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage cable systems, including cabling rough-in and termination across media types (CAT5e/6, optical fiber, coax), cable pulling, fireproofing, and adherence to NEC and local regulations. Works with customers to deliver a positive experience and ensures equipment and information are on site to meet schedules, while maintaining safety and organized workmanship.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience in related field
- Experience in Rack & stack
- Experience in Cable dressing
- Knows how to install wrapped-around labels in the cable
- Detailed communication-oriented
- Ability to lift/carry/setup a 75 lb. ladder
- Basic computer skills
- Strong work ethic
- Punctuality and attendance
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Successful completion of drug and background screening tests required
- Ability to work overtime as needed
