Job Summary
Data Center Technician (Level I–IV) sought to support deployment and maintenance of high-performance network environments across the nation. Core duties include delivering infrastructure installations, cabling (structured, RF, fiber), equipment configuration, test, migration, and on-site support in data center, headend, central office, and enterprise facilities. Growth path from Level 1 to Level 4 with increasing independence, leadership of installation teams, and involvement in migrations and software upgrades. Must be physically capable, able to work on ladders/in confined spaces, and willing to perform off-hours migrations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Physically capable of lifting up to 80 lbs
- Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis/reporting tools
- Self-driven and dependable with ability to work independently, including night shifts as needed
- Experience in digital infrastructure/network facility support (ISP, Central Office, Headend, Data Center)
- Experience with cabinet/rack installation, cable management, grounding, and cable installation (CAT5/6 and fiber)
- Ability to perform basic network testing and DC power installation
- Ability to work under supervision at Level 1 and progressively take on independent tasks as levels increase
- Willingness to participate in off-hours shifts for migrations and installations
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Capability to lead/install/migrate networks and support project documentation and MOPs
