Job Summary

Rack-and-stack compute, network, and storage platforms; execute structured copper and fiber cabling; perform hardware installs, swaps, and first-sample part replacements while maintaining accurate asset records. Diagnose physical-layer faults in servers and network gear using POST, BIOS, PXE, IPMI, and BMC; provide smart-hands support for remote engineering teams via console access and component reseats. Manage liquid cooling operations including CDU manifold connections and leak inspections; handle end-to-end RMAs and document all change activity photographically. Act as the first point of contact for facility-floor issues, escalating to technical leads and escorting vendors while preserving confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

  • You've deployed and supported server and network hardware in a live data center or hardware lab
  • You troubleshoot server hardware deeply
  • You know network fundamentals (TCP/IP, Ethernet)
  • You know hardware (switches, routers, copper and fiber)
  • You work comfortably in Linux
  • Asset records, labels, and documentation are habits for you
