Job Summary
Data Center Support Technician responsible for managing operational integrity of H5 Data Centers’ facility, including physical security (access control, video surveillance, patrols, policy enforcement), customer engagement and incident management, ticket processing, and basic remote hand duties. Monitors health of building systems (BMS, power, cooling, fire), IT systems (networks, servers), and perimeter protection. Requires flexibility for any shift, weekends, and holidays; activities include escort duties for vendors and customers, incident coordination, and crisis communications if needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) year college degree preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiar with physical security protocols
- Customer service experience
- IT system qualifications will be required if not already certified
- Competent in the use of Windows, MAC and IOS systems
- Organization and time management skills
- Must be a self-starter, able to work in a fast paced constantly changing environment
- Ability to work well in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision
- Comprehensive understanding of data center best practices is a bonus
