Job Summary
Data Center Site Selection Director / Vice President based in Dallas, TX, leads/site selection for greenfield, brownfield, retrofit, and expansion opportunities, including M&A; develops budgets, preliminary design and schedules to achieve shovel-ready status; manages site acquisition (zoning, power utilities, municipality concerns); reviews material pricing, labor rates, contractor mark-ups, and pre-purchased materials; collaborates with Project Managers and negotiates with subcontractors; develops cost estimates and historical data to support future projections; requires extensive data center infrastructure knowledge, strong executive-presentations skills, and travel up to 50% of time; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent and 5-12 years of relevant experience; MS Office and construction/design software proficiency (Timberline, Bluebeam, Procore, P6) are highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent
- 5-12 years of experience in performing Cost Estimates, Reviewing Contractor's Price and Cost Proposals for major engineering and construction projects
- Experience in Site Selection / Land Acquisition process a must
- Excellent communication skills to present information to executive team, operations, engineering and finance
- In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure and design is highly preferred; complex commercial development experience is required
- MS Office Skills to include: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio
- Experience with Construction Design / Estimation Software (Timberline, Bluebeam, Procore, P6)
- Travel required to new and existing markets is expected to be 50% and may increase over time
