Job Summary
Install, service, and maintain low voltage cabling; pull cables, rack and stack equipment, and assist with cable management; clean fiber and copper connections; follow MOP/CMOP guidelines; operate work ticket systems; read port maps; perform power distribution and cable management; document per company standards; respond to emergencies and meet SLAs; escalate complex issues to senior team members; perform service swaps of live networking devices; collaborate with teammates; step in for Lead Field Technician when needed; suggest process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or certification in a technology services/technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining low voltage cable infrastructure systems.
- Ability to install, terminate, and test low voltage cables.
- Familiarity with industry standards including BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, and local and National Electric Code.
- Industry and manufacturer-specific certifications preferred (e.g., BICSI TECH, Corning TS-LAN500).
- Valid driver's license and ability to safely drive company vehicles.
