Job Summary
Data Center & Route Switch Field Service Technician responsibilities include installation and maintenance of networking hardware (routers, switches, WAPs), telephony equipment and circuits, Cisco UCS servers and Nexus switches, and retail technology systems (POS, digital signage, video surveillance). The role involves circuit extensions, structured cabling, site surveys, and maintaining company vehicle and tools. Travel to assigned market areas (often four+ hours away), hands-on hardware troubleshooting, and providing after-hours/on-call support. Paid training includes Cisco CCT Field Technician certification with pay updates. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, valid driver’s license with clean record, Covid-19 vaccination, and willingness to work mostly Monday–Friday with possible overtime and call-out pay. Training provided; role is drug-free workplace. Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred; certifications in CompTIA, Cisco, Cabling, PBX are a plus. Cisco Field Tech certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.”,
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with good driving record
- willing to travel as needed to meet customer SLAs
- Covid-19 vaccination
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds
- Clear driver’s license (no more than 4 points)
