Data Center Project Manager

Job Summary
Lead CAPEX initiatives for data-center mechanical/electrical infrastructure as the primary project lead. Develop and maintain scope, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and financial updates; execute procurement (RFPs, vendor selection, contracts); coordinate with engineering, operations, MEP consultants, and third-party providers to align with EDC standards; oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, UPS, generators, PDUs, controls, and fire/life safety systems; manage CAPEX budget and assist with vendor payments; ensure regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and SLA/KPI adherence; maintain project documentation and change-management processes; support sustainability and certification goals (LEED, WELL, WiredScore, SmartScore); partner with operations for seamless handover to steady-state operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5–10+ years of experience managing MEP or mission-critical construction projects within data centers or a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of critical facility systems including HVAC, UPS, generators, PDUs, controls, and commissioning processes
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage vendors, and oversee large-scale project budgets
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and produce accurate documentation
- Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments while maintaining safety, quality, and governance standards
