Job Summary
Lead installations, configure, and troubleshoot datacenter hardware including servers, network gear, and BMC ports. Manage move-add-change-delete activities, RAID setups, and server imaging via PXE boot or USB. Oversee cable management, rack organization, cooling systems, and airflow to ensure operational standards. Guide team members through 1 on 1s, set KPIs, and mentor technical development. Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for deployments and site setups while acting as the point of contact for escalations. Maintain up-to-date documentation and knowledge bases to improve workflows. Requires strong hands-on experience with Linux, virtualization, and networking basics, plus ability to lift 45kg. Rotating on-call shifts with additional compensation occur outside business hours. Located in Rotterdam with hybrid work requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Comfortable lifting 45kg
- Live within 50km of the Rotterdam Datacenter
- Available for on-call shifts
- On-call duties may occur outside business hours
- Fluent in English
- Ability to communicate clearly with engineers, vendors, stakeholders, and non-technical teams
- Solid experience with RAID setups
- Experience with BMC ports
- Experience with imaging servers
- Experience with datacenter hardware
- Experience with similar infrastructure environments
- Practical experience working with servers
- Practical experience working with racks
- Practical experience working with cabling
- Practical experience with hardware deployments
- Practical experience with infrastructure operations in a datacenter or similar technical environment
