Job Summary
Data Center Facility Manager / Chief Engineer to oversee operation and maintenance of critical facility infrastructure in a 7x24x365 data center. Manage Mechanical and Electrical Technicians, maintain client relationships, establish performance benchmarks, coordinate with IT, create and administer MOPs/SOPs, schedule work within change-control protocols, and ensure uptime. Requires leadership of a technical operations staff and extensive experience with electrical/mechanical/HVAC systems, reporting, capacity planning, and project coordination.
Required Qualifications
- 7-12+ years of data center / critical facility operations and maintenance experience
- 3-5+ years of Data Center Leadership / Management
- Solid Understanding of Critical Electrical and Mechanical / HVAC equipment (UPS, Generators, Switchgears, PDU's, CRAC Units, Chillers, etc.)
- Experience supervising a technical data center operations staff
- Good presentation skills in leading meetings (both conference and in person)
- Superior analytical, planning and problem resolution skills
- Knowledge of Company Services and operations structure and support operations
- Effective Communicator - emails, phone, meetings
- Microsoft Project, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc. - ability to create complex reports, forecast modeling
